Frequently asked questions
- Do I need WinRAR installed?
- No. Reading the .rar uses RARLAB's UnRAR components running inside your browser. You upload the .rar, see the files and download what you want.
- The RAR has a password. Can I open it?
- Yes. Type the password in the field before extracting. It is used only on your device and never sent anywhere.
- How do I download the files?
- If the RAR holds a single file, the download starts right away. If it holds several, a list appears: download them one by one, save everything to a folder, or take them all together as a .zip.
- What if the RAR is split into parts (part1, part2…)?
- We don't open volumes yet: each part depends on the others. If you have WinRAR, join the parts into a single .rar before uploading.
- Is my file sent to any server?
- No. Extraction happens 100% in your browser. The .rar, the password and the extracted files stay on your device.
